SOC 305 - Race and Racism |
An analysis of race and ethnic relations in America with special emphasis on the historical and contemporary experience of Native Americans, Latinos, Asian-Americans, African-Americans, and European-Americans. Sociological theory and data are used to examine the structural sources and effects of racism, prejudice, and discrimination. Same as BLS 305. Prerequisites: SOC 101, BLS 101 or WMS 101 or permission of the instructor
