THL 323 - Canonical Gospels
Introduction to the four canonical Gospels of the New Testament and the analytical methodologies that will enable students to read them from various perspectives: historical, literary, and theological. A consideration of the gospels within the context of the Greco-Roman world and ancient Judaism; theories of source, form and redaction criticism; and exegetical considerations for understanding Christian theology and practice. Prerequisite: Complettion of THL I Core requirement.
