BIO 227 - Genes and Gender |
This course explores the role of genetics and biology of gender. A review of both classical and molecular genetics will provide a basis for consideration of the extent to which gender is determined by genes and their regulation. Additionally, the course will focus on the extent to which transcription and translation of genes produce sexual dimorphism and gender specific human behavior. It is intended for Biology majors who have completed BIO 103-104. It is open to non-BIO majors who have sufficient background with permission of the instructor.
