HIS 345 - History Modern Middle East
The emergence of the modern-day Middle East after the break-up of the Ottoman Empire following World War I. Origins of the Arab-Israeli conflict, the civil war in Lebanon, the Iran-Iraq war, the Persian Gulf War, and Islamic revivalism, neo-colonialism, democratization, industrialization, and modernization.
